Topic: Organisation's flexibility - a choice or strategic necessity?
Description: The requirements of today’s market, coupled with turbulent environment, make the organisations need to track undergoing changes and be flexible and responsive to signals coming from the environment. Is flexibility an operational or strategic notion? How embedding the aspect of flexibility in a long-term business strategy may affect decisions concerning initiatives for organisational changes? In what way do investment decisions may support long-term strategic ambitions? Those are certainly not all, but some of key challenges faced by modern organisations. We assume that the awareness of strong correlations between operational, economic and cultural areas of the organisation constitutes a basis for discussion about flexibility in a broad sense. We will share our observations and provide the opportunity to discuss flexibility in the audience’s own organisations.
